Bonsoir Monsieur Nightfall

Helene is bringing a new production to Edinburgh for the Fringe Festival from 5 to 30 August 2015 – poignant and funny, her show and her songs draw on her experiences, and the ups and the downs in a truly extraordinary career so far…

Helene presents Bonsoir Monsieur Nightfall at Assembly Roxy Downstairs from 5 to 30 August (no show Mondays 17 & 24 August).

She’s lived life on the edge, sung at the Royal Albert Hall, shared the company and hospitality of sex workers in two European capitals, and composed a film score for the British Film institute. Helene’s journey has certainly been a colourful one.

Her new collection of original songs draws on these experiences – daybreak on the streets of London and Paris, rescue by a French chanteuse whilst busking in Montmartre, facing death on a bridge over the River Thames – and finding love and the kindness of strangers on the capitals’ streets.

Her smouldering husky raw vocals and playful personality make for a spellbinding performance. Her music has been described as a modern eclectic mix of jazz, chanson and swing junk guitar – a rare and unique vocal magic and personality.

“Unmissable” – Time Out London, “Mesmerising Talent” – The Stage, “Sheer Brilliance”, Fest Mag, “A voice that leaves you breathless” – Three Weeks.
